Exact words from Randy!

Still at the hospital

Just talked with Randy's mother Lenette, she said Randy is doing ok. They are waiting to hear if his chemo level is down enough to get to go home for 1 day. They should find out tomorrow. His dad is coming up tonight to be with him. Blessings that his work will let him off for a day to spend with his son at the hospital. Randy has been very tired and sleeping a lot. He will start up the chemo session again on Thursday and the tests and scans are on Thursday as well. They will find out the results next week on Wednesday the 8th. Also, Randy's 18th birthday is coming up on April 10th. Lenette said he should be home for that. They are planning on doing something special for him. Please keep him in mind and maybe send a special e-mail or card that day. Surgery is still tentative for mid-April. And the pizza fundraiser is still on for the 20th. Please tell EVERYONE you know to order a pizza from Figaro's that night - 50% profit to Randy and Lisa's cancer accounts. WOW!!!

Blazer Game and Chemo

Randy was able to go to the Blazer Game on Thursday Night with his whole family. He said it was a great game and time with his family. His chemo started on Friday (pushed back because he was able to go to the game). He did not feel so good last night, but today, he is feeling ok. He is tired, but feeling as good as he can. His friend Lisa is at the hospital getting chemo again, too. Hope they can get together and play some games with the other teenagers and encourage each other.

New Blood Counts

Randy is feeling fantastic! His blood counts are much better today! YEAH!!!

Pizza Fundraiser - YUM!!!

Home Bound

Randy is home bound this week because of low blood counts. He can not go to school this week - but hopefully he can do his work at home. Only healthy people can visit. He says he is still feeling well. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

Beautiful Baldies - Randy and Lisa

Randy and Lisa met because they both have the same kind of cancer. They were diagnosed just weeks apart and have spent many days at Doernbecher Hospital together, along with some other teens. Randy and Lisa both live in West Salem. Randy, a Senior at West Salem High School and Lisa a student at Walker Middle School. They have become "Chemo Buddies".
