No Chemo

Randy has decided not to go in for chemo.  This is such a big decision.  He knows full well the effects and what it does to his quality of life.  Please continue to pray for him as he makes whatever decision is right for him. 

Update on Randy

Randy will start chemo on June 21st. He will be up there for 5 days then more scans. They need this to help shrink his tumor so the can operate on it. Thanks for your prayers.

Plan B or C

They met with the oncologist today. Randy was given some options that he needs to decide soon. Prayer for him as he makes the choice. Rock on Randy!

Feeling Better

Randy is feeling good.  He got his chest tube out today.  He should be coming home tomorrow.  Please continue to pray for him, they really appreciate it.  They will meet with the oncologist next week and hopefully get some answers.

Doing Well But Need Plan B

Randy's surgery went well, but they were unable to get all of the tumors.  He is doing well, but the Doctors are working on Plan B.  Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and for Randy to gain strength for Plan B when they are ready.

Out of surgery

I did not get much of an update, other than the doctors started the surgery on him about 5:30 PM.  He is now out of surgery in the ICU.  Randy's mom will update me tomorrow on more details.

Surgery Time

Randy's surgery will start about 4 PM.  Should be a 4-6 hour surgery.  Thanks for your prayers.

Surgery

I will try to update as soon as I can about the surgery.  This surgery will be for his right lung, in which they will take a part of his lung.  Also, for the tumor that is pressing on his artery.  They do not know the exact time of the surgery but think it is in the afternoon.  So, he will probably not be finished until late Tuesday evening.  Please keep him in your prayers throughout the day.

Randy's Next Surgery

The next surgery will be Tuesday, May 29th.  Keep praying for him to gain weight and strength before he goes into this next surgery.

Just heard from Lenette. One

Just heard from Lenette. One of the tumors was pressing on his artery. They are released to go home.

Prayer please.  Randy went to the ER this afternoon.  They think he might have pneumonia.  Still waiting on test.  Just got a text that he is feeling better.  Hope to have some answers soon.

Little set back for Randy

Little set back for Randy today. He was coughing up blood so they moved him back to the ICU.

Feeling good - working with the pain

I was able to talk to Randy this evening on the phone.  He sounds good.  He wanted to tell you all thank you for praying and supporting him.  He is doing well and his doctors told him he is doing well also.  They were able to get all the tumors out of the left lung, but will need to do the surgery again for the right lung in a week or two.  They did take him off the epidural today but it is a balancing act to get the right amount of medication to balance the pain vs. blood pressure issues.  He said the worst part was just what he expected - the cracking of the ribs.  That is the most painful part right now.  He wanted to talk, but it was getting painful, so I told him to STOP TALKING and get some rest.  He reminded me that he is happy and well.  What a trooper!  Keep on Rockin' Randy!

We just went in to see Randy. He is recovering in the ICU and asking for water. Keep praying for his recovery.

Randy is out of surgery.

Randy is out of surgery. In ICU recovering was only able to do one lung at a time. Will come back in two weeks to do the right.

Still No Update

3:50 PM  The family is still waiting on an update.  The doctor has not come out yet.  I am heading up there in a few minutes.  I will update as I get any information.
